Gameboot for psp Custom firmware
I will try and go step by step for someone that has not done this before and needs to start from scratch so here we go
Installing the codec pack:.
===================
Download the K-lite pack to the desktop.Once you have done that click the installer and you mite get a window pop up like this
click yes and it will run the uninstall and ask you to restart your computer so do it and click the installer again when you boot back up.
click next and you can choose to run the set up at defaults or change things to suit your needs.i am going to just
leave thing as they are and click the next button but you can do what you want.
then click net to show the next window.
here i just click the video formats so the files open with windows media player and then next to install then finish and your done.
getting source file:.
===================
ok where ever you get the source from like in my case the one im going to use for this tut is in flv format so i have to convert it
into workable media and my choice is avi so the next step is to do just that with total video converter.so open it up after installing
of course
just drag your file into the window and you will see a new one with choices to convert to.
click the Divx/Xvid Avi button and in the drop down click xvid mpeg4 avi.after that it will return to the main window so then click
Convert Now button.when its done a window will pop up with the converted avi in it so drag that file on to the desktop.
close the window and total video converter for we are done with it for now.
Preparing your clip:.
===================
open ulead and click the folder then browse to the file you converted with total video.
now that the clip is imported in you need to drag it down to where it says drag and drop video clip here.after you have done that i always
click the time line view.to me its just easier to work with in my option
ok now if you know the part you want then what you need to do is click and hold the slider and move it to the end of the part you want.
when your happy then click the right mark out to mark it then the scissors to cut the end off.when your done that
right click on the left over part and click delete.
ok now move the slider to where you want the beginning and click the left mark to mark it and then cut it out just like you did in the
previous step.so when i was done im left what looks like below and am happy with it when i play it but there's one thing left i
want to do before im done and that is make it full screen.to do this we need to click on our clip in the timeline so it turns
gray and it shows the attributes tab on the right for we need to click it and then put a check mark in the distort clip box.
when you have done that the clip will show a bounding box around it that you can resize so drag it into the middle and grag the
right corner and make the whole thing bigger.do this just enough to get rid of the black bars and no more.when you get
happy play the clip and make sure it still looks centered and all is well.thats pretty much it just have to click share tab and then
create video file in the drop down click the top one same as project settings to save your clip.i always name mine 1.
now you should have a file on the desktop called 1.mpg and we need it to be 1.avi so we have to use total video again to get it there so do the same steps
as above to convert it into avi.
making the avs:.
===================
ok the avs file is just a text file to tell virtual dub what to do to the clip so open note pad and put in the following
settings so it would look like the pic below.
make sure it is the same as above and save the file to desktop as 1.avs.make sure its in the extension avs or it will not work for you.
splitting the video,audio:.
===================
start virtual dub and drag the avs file into it then you should see your clip in the preview window.
click on streams in the top menu then stream list from the drop down so you will see another window like below.
click on the save wav and save it to the desktop just call it 1 after you do that click disable in the bottom right don't forget
this as its an important step.ok moving on close that window so we can save the video now.click on file then save as
and you will have a window like below just leave everything the way it is and i always name it 11 so it don't conflict with the other file.
working with the audio:.
===================
ok the video is ready to go but the audio need to be change a little so open sound recorder the browse to the 1.wav
on your desktop so we can change the attributes
click on file save as and in the window click change at the bottom
it this window click the drop down arrow for the attributes and move the slider all the way down and choose
44.100 kHz,16 Bit,Stereo 172kb/sec
now your back at the save as window click save and ok to overwrite it.then close sound recorder.
goldwave:.
===================
this step isn't necessary but alot of time the sound is low or you want to fade it out at the end or whatever
im just going to open it in goldwave and have a look at the levels so to turn up the volume if needed.so open
goldwave and drag the sound into it
now as we can see the levels could be more so we will click effect at the top menu and then down to volume
then the slide out to change volume.
in the change volume window click the drop down arrow and choose double then ok
as you can see the levels are looking alot better so click file at the top menu and then save
Umd Tools:.
===================
open the tools up and click the new under the file in the top left hand corner.
in this new window just put 1 in both spots like it shows above.
in this one change the max clip size to 1 mb and put a check mark in the psp movie format (for game)
then click finish to get in the main window again.
in this window you want to click the video source then open to browse to the 11.avi file on the desktop.
it will be in then click ok to load her into the tools
now do the same with the audio and browse to the 1.wav file on the desktop.so it should look like below.
now at the very top you want to click run then encode + multiplex.it will do its thing once that's done close
umd tools for we are done with it
creating the pmf:.
===================
we just need to convert the mps file into pmf so to do this we use pmf creater.so open it up and put a 1 in
the total time m slot so the total time would be 1 minute.
now click browse to find you file you made with umd tools.it will be in your documents some thing like this
C:\Documents and Settings\Admin\My Documents\UmdStreamComposer\MuxWork\1\00001
now you want to browse to where you want to save it to.i always use the desktop so it would look like this
now all you have to do is hit the convert button and let her do her thing.
once that is done you are greeted with a nice little done window.
