Welcome to the Tga Wave tutorial.In here i am going to go over the basic things you need to do in order to have different wave in the psp.With this tool you can have the coldboot wave match the xmb witch makes a nice transition so it looks like sony made it themselves.

Tga Wave for 352-390 Custom Firmware

I will try and go step by step for someone that has not done this before and needs to start from scratch so here we go

Tools you will need:.
===================
1:.Tga Wave
2:.Rco Editer
3:.system_plugin_bg
4:.opening_plugin.rco

Extracting the Tga:.
===================
Download Tga Wave and you will see four folders inside the extracted folder like in the picture below.

Ok so to get started say i want to use one of the waves from my collection on my psp.i like one of the red ones so i will use it as an example.have a look at it below.

So just download the system_plugin_bg.zip and extract to the desktop or anywhere you want for easy access.I always rename it now to make it easier to work with but that step is not necessary in order to make this work.now go to where tga wave is and open the wave extract folder like it shows below.

Drag the rco you downloaded or any other system_plugin_bg that you mite have around in the wave extract folder.once that's done click on the start.bat and you should see something like below and as you can see i renamed my system_plugin_bg to red.rco.

Now just type in the name of your rco like it says and i have done in the picture above.once that's done press enter on the keyboard.it will extract tga and ask you if you want to extract another so type y for yes or n for n then press enter.the bat will exit if you typed n and you will be left with the tga so we can go to the next step and inject it to the opening_plugin.rco.

Injecting the Tga:.
===================
Ok now we have the tga we need to inject it in a rco.we can inject in ether a system_plugin_bg or a opening_plugin.rco but in this case we are going to put it in a opening_plugin.rco so it will match the xmb.To do that we will open the boot wave folder in the picture below.

Once you have that open drag the tga you made with wave extract and then click the start.bat.It should look something like below after you have that done.

Now just type the name of your rco like it says and i have done in the picture above.all you have to do now is press enter and it will ask you if you want to pad the rco to the proper size.i always type y for yes and then press enter.the last step in here is press any key to exit the program.You will be left with a folder that's looks like the picture below.

Updating the Rco:.
===================
We now have a opening_plugin.rco but it is the old style with the vags in it for the opening sound you hear when the psp starts.Thanks to ZingaBurga this is done easily with rco editer.open rco editer and drag the new opening_plugin.rco into the editer.Now make a new folder on the desktop called anything you like it will be used to hold files for a little bit and then get deleted so it can even be called New Folder as defaut.On the right hand side click extract all and browse to the new folder you made and click ok.a little window will pop up and say done.click ok then thats done.have a look at the pic below to see what it should look like.

Download the newer opening_plugin.rco and drag it into rco editer.click on replace multiple and browse to the new folder you extracted the contents of the last opening_plugin.rco into.once that's done you will get the little window again just click ok.have a look at the pic below to see what i mean.

Ok now if everything went well then flash it to your psp backing up the old one of course.i have flashed the one i made in this tutorial and took a few pics of it to show you that this indeed works.have a look at the below and remember the shout box on the front page if you run into any problems.
